playsand balls

i am filling my tank up with water and my sand is forming small balls, some arefloating some are on the bottom, bunch of small balls. i can break them up, but its just weird, what is going on

yeah of course. the water is crystal clear, theres just some balls of sand forming . lol

this is the only way I know h ow to put a pic up. this is me looking down into the tank from the top. you can see the balls up top floating, and you can barely see a bunch of balls on the sand at bottom.

rewash your sand and add a bit of salt to the water...looks like the surface tension of the water isn't being broken by the sand.
