ok i heard it would cheaper to build a 200gal tank than buy one so how much would it cost to build one?????what is the cheapest way to build it??

You should look around for used tanks. I found a guy that was selling his with a stand and a couple of filters for 500. Not sure what your budget is but somethings you can find some great deals. I recently bought a 220 complete with everything including fish for 700.

i got a quote from a local glass place 7' x 3' x 2.5' 3/4 thick glass $378 / acr. $ 430 !

The problem is that you still have to add the stand and if you don't want the stand you need all the stuff that goes with the tank. gravel, rocks, filter...those things add up. Thats why buying new gets expensive!!

Do as I do when getting a new tank save up money and buy the equipment little by little so it doesnt feel like you just got broke all of a sudden. Id say the cheapest way to make a tank it a plywood tank.

uhhh im kinda short on cash only got 900 to spend on every thing but that 20 gallon i got sitting in my room is getting boring.so still how much would it cost to build a plywood tank of 86Lx24Hx28W

about 750 including filter pump tank stand, gravel. but not the lights fish food and all. buy gravel from homedepo cheap 4dollars for 50lbs of gravle 3/4"
