any chance any body know what sex it is i'll try to get better pics if needed

also are they like most pike as far as aggression twords other pikes what would you say the chances are of it getting along with other pikes i think i'll try it i got other tank just in case

spot in the dorsal, white stripe on the dorsal as well, and the red abdomen. Thats a female..

Most PetSmarts will also have Johanna and sp. 'Xingu I'...

petsmarts where at not here in SoCal.

if i find some rarer pikes at petsmart i could try to buy all of them and sell them here that way they don't have to live in a 10 or 20 gallon there hole life

I just picked up 2 pikes from petsmart. They had a red sign on the tank and it said "Reduced to sell, Pike Cichlids $7.49". The funny thing about it was that I got the 2 biggest ones in the tank (3 inches) and the worker looked at her supervisor and said "Look, sold 2 Pikes!", then gave her supervisor a high five. I asked her what that was all about and she said that the Pikes were eating all the small convicts and Jags in the tank, so they had to go. If I had more space, I would have picked up the 3 that was left in the tank.
