I like the music, don't give a crap about the hair, (I had a Nehru jacket, bellbottoms, a Mao hat, combat boots, and long hair with a couple rats tails when I was 16). I was a confused youth.

CentralMayhem - I wasn't considering those bands as EMO, to me modern EMO has a whiney, lame sound. I certainly would NOT consider As I Lay Dying, and stuff like that Hardcore. It's ok, but not my thing.

If you want to talk Hardcore, the best in the business is Hatebreed, and I also really dig the last album from Dry Kill Logic. Nothingface was good, I don't know if they are still together.

I also highly recommend hybrid metal/hardcore bands such as:

- Shadows Fall
- Killswitch Engage
- God Forbid

I still say all the whiney crap they play on radio can kiss my a*s.
