I've always used a bunch of zebra danios as dithers for all my tanks. They're hardy as hell, active, and cheap. If a few get eaten down the line...who cares.

Well I would think that the ones that get eaten might care for a few seconds!

me too bred a few dozen for that purpose have em all my tanks except the oscar tank hes to worried about food to be shy any more

a group of barbs works real good too

At one time I used these but the little b*stards learnt how to swim "upstream" into my aquaclear anytime the lights went off. It was hilarious: you could hear them jump out of the filter and back into the tank when I turned the lights back on
