Please estimate costs for pool filter sand

Lmfao! No, I usually use sand just like around my tanks, and when I get lazy I just vacuum up the sand when cleaning my tanks. Rofl I have a bunch of sand! And I'm starting to collect more sand for my build I'm gonna start soon. But, I use sand all the time! It's also pretty good to have.

Lol I bought a lot one time too because one time, when my friend was mad at his dad he went out and bought like 1500 pounds of sand and made like 20 trips to home depot! I went to his house to find him dumping bags and bags of sand in his pool! Really really stupid idea but it got his dad pissed! He spent his dads money on it and destroyed the pool basically because it was floating and made a layer on the bottom and top and screwed up the filter. So he gave me a lot of sand too. Rofl my friends are so stupid! But, I did get a lot of sand from him. Look around you also might find some places clearancing sand. It's that time of year where pool stuff starts going down in price.

Pool stores are a rip off. Check to see if you have any rock yards or landscape shops in your area. Any well-stocked rock yard will have sand in various grades for dirt cheap

Ya, my stepdad works at a blasting mine, and they blast and make very fine black sand. He can give me anything less than 500 pounds for free! If I were to pay I think it's like $20 per 100lbs

I put 2 50lbs bags in my 120g and it was perfect.
