Not challenging you, or anything, just inquiring as I consider myself rather a newbie at this flowerhorn stuff but ...... what makes you think he will fade ?

He looks mostly ZZ red dragon to my uneducated eye. And most of these will not fade ? yes ? no ?

Opps im sorry, I didnt fade as in the traditional peeling process but as it grows the grays will fade and it will look like a whole new fish.

I certainly wouldnt call myself an expert, but there are FH out there that even the most knowledgable FH keeper would have trouble breaking down the linage. Ive always noticed that a key indicator of Malau is the quality of reds, and pearl pattern on the back half of the fish, and a rounder face. This fish mimics some of these traits, but I would go as far as saying its ZZMalua. Trust me, I dont just see pearls and say ZZmalua. They can look very similair to indo ZZ.
I tend not to get wrapped up in common names. When a fish is purchased through an unknown vendor, Its better to just keep it simple.
