The 3 teaspoons per gallon works safely. I used that on my channelcat and they are very intolerant of salt and is healing his fins very quickly.

Oh really? Well, if it doesn't work with the small amount at first, Ill re-try with a higher dosage of it.

Do I do it daily, or just once? I'm just learning about the salt cure, any information would help, thanks! :)

Alright that sounds much safer. At the moment I only have 1 fish out of like 13 with it, so I don't think I need to do like a hardcore wipeout. I'll try bumping the temp to 86 and add 2tbsp per 5g.

should do it. if one has it there's a really good chance they all will eventually. just get the salt and temp done and you'll be fine.

salt doesn't evaporate so only do it at that dosage initially and when you do water changes. ex: if you take out 10 gal for a wc add 4 more tbsp when you refill. etc....

stay away from salt, any fish vet or phd in fish pharm will tell u the same. I should write an
article on the dangers of salt and how in many apps its just worthless. pm me if u want and ill help you out.
