Look people its just business. If someone does a good job/has a good experience with a business they tell maybe one or 2 people. If someone has a bad experience they tell everyone, thats why business' make it right. They go out of the way to make sure that the mistake on their part is resolved. Alex knew the ray was unhealthy, crap even my mother could tell that ray was unhealthy.

He was looking at this thread a ton of times (his name was at the bottom) and he just didn't know what to say. He knew he did something wrong. If he makes it right and refunds him or buys the ray back etc. then his reputation won't be tarnished or thrown off so quick.

I am just saying if the seller wants to work it out, fix the mistake, and keep his reputation, he has every opportunity to do so.

i must say this .... not to bash but to let ppl see my side of things.
i'm a nOOb to rays and i take EVERYTHING that is written on this site to heart.
i would love to perchase rays and also have considred getting some from alex.
i really don't mind spending good money on good rays, but after seeing this poor lady i doubt that we will do buisness together. this just makes me wonder if fish room plus made a one-time mistake or if other unknowing customers got ripped-off by him.
the bottom line is u broke my/our trust and that will never be fully restored.
now i have to start the venture of finding a good dealer/private seller all over!

sometimes **** happens this is one of those times i would say this is an isolated incident. all of alex's other stock was really nice. he had some amazing castexi. i have faith in the man and don't be surprised i do buisness with him again. my moron award will have nothing to do with this decision.

its too bad police wouldent arrest a person for starving a stingray as they would if someone mis-treated their dog or cat.

maybe a big fat fine and a felony charge for cruelty to animals would open the sellers sick, twisted mind up to proper care. no respecting fish owner would ever let their fish get 1/2 that bad.

i'm in no way sticking up for the seller here but you will find that a lot of rays come into the country in a poor condition with hips showing etc, i must say this is also one of the worst i have seen yet the thread starter has advised it is eating.
i do think it should not have been sold in this condition and i am sure the seller knows this too.

listen up people! I understand and agree that this ray should never have been sold. This ray should never even have been allowed to get in this horrible state. But don't sign off frp so quickly. FRP has helped many many MFK members, myself included. I have nothing but good things to say about him. He always has great fish kept in great condition. He delivers without fail and everyone who buys from him has expressed their pleasure of doing business with FRP. Don't let this one sale tarnish his reputation. How he deals with this ray is between him and the buyer, and I think any further comment won't do anyone any good. I think he should get a last say and then, well...

please remember people i started this thread to get peoples thoughts on the ray not to cause anyone any problems.
either way if the ray lives or dies i think it'll make me a better ray keeper.

Rook had his choise of all the fish here. I tried to sell him the Castexi ray, black arowana, brycom. Beleive it or not, I have had the ray for over 2 weeks. I feed every day

I feed the ray 2 hours befor I knew Rook was comming or I would have feed the ray in front of him.
Not every ray comes in in looking like a 4" steak. Its still alive, its 4 days and will live longer. It is a active ray and would have been up for sale next week either way.

Either that ray has some SERIOUS internal parasites that absorb most if not all of its nutrients and are resistant to the meds youve used OR that ray has not eaten. There is no way a ray can be that skinny and parasite free and be eating.

most rays will eat even if they were fed 2 hours earlier. this ray should have been a freebie since he won't live anyway. Maybe i would understand if you just gave it to somebody hoping they could re-vive it.
