B. vaillantii at the same size class:

That's a vailantii? Never knew small ones existed. It does resembles Duopalatinus peruanus

Just got this guy from a peru shipment... around 18”
Can anyone confirm that this is a B.vaillanti?
(Sorry for the awful pic quality... my tank lights are busted)

So it came from Peru shipment not Suriname? That's just dandy, I could order one

This fish is Megalonema platycephalum...the spot at the base of the caudal fin is a dead giveaway. Not sure I've seen a similarly sized B. vaillantii...

Small vaillanti resemble B.rosseauxxii, this is a pic from google and so far this is the only juvenile pic of B.vaillanti ive seen...
