Can bonsai flowerhorn breed with regular sized flowerhorn? Thanks
Thanks for the informationYes they can. Heres the size difference between the two. I have a bonsai she bred with a 14" male and shes 4-5" max.
The video isn't mine just to show you the size difference.
Thanks for the informationIf the little female bonsai is ready to lay and is feisty and your male is smaller and docile then yes. You would get a mix of body styles, I have found shortbody x regular gives you about 25% shortbody fish. Be careful and good luck.
Short bodies can get 8-9" but bonsai females can get 5-6". I would divide them and let them be familiar with each other and when her tube goes down let the male out and see what happens. MAKE sure she has an escape route by a cave or pot she can only fit in. My female bonsai got hurt actually last night by breeding with a male flowerhorn. She is fine swimming fine but she still got hit. It happens very common breeding aggressive cichlids. The female bonsai I think is still small and the male SRD is only 5 inches and I think is a short body.
It's only a plan for now.
How big does a short body SRD when fully grown?
Thanks
