Thanks, I also have a 3-3.5 inches thai silk hopefully a male. It would be nice to have thai silk short body flowerhorn

They are at the same tank at the moment with divider. I will let them grow together and hopefully they pair up. The big ??is if the thai silk is a male. Thanks

A good way to try if you are not sure if they will attack each other is to put a divider in the tank with a tile or what ever you are using under the divider so it is in both sides of the divided tank, she will lay eggs on it then you can spin it for male to fertilize them , once fertilized spin tile back round for female to care for them
