Thanks for all your replies. He is in a 7 foot, 1000 litre tank. Sorry for the units and here in SA we work metric. But its just under a 300 gal system. He is with a few flowerhorns im growing out and a big fader and my 14inch buttikoferi. At first it seemed as if he did not even know how to swim but now he is eating like a pig and swimming nice. Even tried to have a go at the butti.

I guess if he grows to 12 inch we know he is not a con and if he stays this size we can call him a pink con.
Or that you've grown the biggest convict in history

So would you guys maybe suggest a midas convict cross or a mid evil. Can definitely see more of a Midas head shape with a shorter snout and more u shaped mouth.
