Could be a really malnourished gt. But does that black spot look off to anyone else? I’ve never seen it so big on any of my batches of fry. Not even when stressed.

Feed him and watch for parasites. Lots of clean water too so those fins heal up.

Thank you! He or she just ate for the first time last night some nls community pellets. The black spot is large and that was why I was looking for an ID?
 
Yeah I can see why you’d be wondering if it was labeled right or not. I’m sure once it starts growing and is all settled in it will be more obvious.

Another reason using things such as color and "spot" is they can change with the mood, the comfort, and habitat, even simple things such as the color of the substrate can change look.
