please help identify

that is not a gt ,that is a blue acara my girl has a gt and a blue acara in the same tank they look like each other, put them next to each other and you deff can see the differance between them.
 
GT and blue acara can be tricky to tell apart when young, but the key things I look for are the location of the mouth....on a GT it's more towards the bottom of the body so there's a very thin lower lip....acara has mouth situated more in the center of the body so the lower jaw is more prominent. Also, blue acara are a lot more likely to have the black vertical line going through the eye. I don't think I've ever seen a GT with that kind of line.

yeah the bubbles in the water are from a water change .. i live on well water and therefore i have no need to treat the water in any way. well ill wait a week and see what he looks like then .. and if its a blue acara ill prolly return him
 
cool .. well thankyou for all your answers it was pretty informative and tought me quite a bit about juvie GTs and blue acaras identification ... now i just need to decide if im going to keep him or return him and continue my hunt for a GT
