I believe it to be blue gill but maybe pumkin... definitely in the Sunfish category. Regardless it grows much faster and is more aggressive than the morrii you have it in with. Growing up together as juveniles and him/ her being alone without potential mate chances are no territorial disputes will arise but maybe a good idea to keep and I on them

Green sunfish, hardy, will accept a variety of foods, best kept with central and South American cichlids or similar fish, grows about 6 to 8 inches on average, enjoys a hiding place such as a flowerpot.

Green sunfish, hardy, will accept a variety of foods, best kept with OTHER SUNFISH OR NATIVE NORTH AMERICAN FISH, grows about 6 to 8 inches on average, enjoys a hiding place such as a flowerpot.
Fixed :D

They don't thrive in tropical temperatures that cichlids require. Best kept 60-70F

Green sunfish, the white tips on the tail and dorsal are dead giveaways. The fish is going to terrorize the hell out of your tank plus live a short miserable life if its kept at tropical temps like viper and frank both said.
