Please help me decide fluval205 vs Ac 70 or 110

Hi guys.
Im going to buy my first real big tank a 65gal.
I have a choice of fluval205 or either ac 70 or 110.
both are the same price
the tank wil hold a oscar.

please help me decide with some goods bads and uglies.

forget the AC70. its way too small (not much media)

I would go with the AC110. for one messy fish in a tank that size, its probably easiest to go with over the canister.

canisters are nice, but in this case I think you would be better with an AC 110. it should handle one oscar fine.

yeah go with the ac 110...I have that and a fluval 305 on a 75 with 2 oscars and its great...I have a fluval 205 on a 40 gallon with an ac 70 so im thinking either one of those by itself isnt enough for your tank...when in doubt overfilter...id personally get the 110 and and the 205 or even a 305 if you can find one..oscars are messy beasts!

Why not go with 2 AC70's? Cost as much as 1 AC110 at bigals'.

2 ac110s if u feed ur oscar alot. i had 4 at 1 time an they have a large bio load.

i have a fluval 205 on a 20g haha the outake leads into a rena smart heater tho and the water surface is broken by an air pump insted of the filter.

Ac 110 is all you need with that size tank. When you start looking at canisters dont even think about Fluval go Eheim. You can have one running by your bed for years and never hear it. Probably service it 4 times in one year.

lol yeah go with eheim if you want to do a second mortgage on your house...its all personal preference ive had fluvals for years and never had problems or noisy ones...
