Sorry about no-one replying. It happens sometimes. I have put up a post about firemouths on a different forum several months ago and have no replies. Don't take it personally, your not the first one lol. But thats why I'm on several forums, so if i really want an answer to something I post it on more than one forum, that way I'm bound to get people helping me. I've found that www.tropicalfishkeeping.com is very good, and you tend to get quick replies.

Thank you, I will have to try that site as well...I just don't understand it, If I did something wrong to someone I wish they would at least tell me!! I don't believe that is it though because I have not even been on here for in the last 6 months.. And this site and the people on here have always been so helpful.
I just don't understand it!! But hey thank you very much for all your help!!

I dont think you did something wrong....I think you got your question answered.....what else do you need insight with?

Maybe the other people who looked at this thread are like me and wanted to see the pics of your fish but have no answer for you. I have read most but not all EBJDS are male something to do with the mutated gene that causes the ebjd. I also know fins of ebjd dont tell sex the only way to tell for sure is venting. But nice looking fish anyways I really like your regular JD.

Look at my L200 post I have around 160 views and 2 people commented, its do be expected.

I understand that someone already answered my question sir. But that was one person, most of the time you will get 10 different answers to a question and half the time they will all be different answers. That is the best thing about this site is everyone has their own opinion about things... Its kind of like the majority rules!!! LOL.. But hey Thank you very much for your input. At least someone talked to me, I was starting to feel like a Amish man who had been shunned by the Church!!! LOL. Thanks again and have a Great Weekend!!!

I do understand not every person who looks at a Thread will have a answer for it sir, But out of almost 200 people you would think someone would say something about them..

And I am 100% sure I do have a female EBJD. If you look at some of my old Threads you will see I had one about my EBJD's breeding, and the only fish that was in that tank was 4 EBJD... I honestly believe I have 2 male and 2 females. They has fry and a lot of them survived for about 2 or 3 weeks, But as you may know you can not breed EBJD with EBJD...

I actually put both the fish I believe to be female in a 125 with the jack you see here. The 2 fish you see in the pictures teamed up as soon as I put them together and the other EBJD stays off by it self, and half the time these 2 chase it around the tank and don't want it by them...

But I guess only time will tell.. Thank you very much for the kind words about my fish, I also love the male jack you would have see him in person to really understand how awesome he is... He changes colors more then any fish I have ever seen, Most of the time he is so bright blue you would think it was a EBJD. But every time I try to take a picture of him this is how he looks!!

Thank you again and have a great weekend!!!

you cant tell a normal jd from a blue gene they look identical, its just that they carry the gene to make blue babys, you need to buy from someone with the parents to be sure. do you trust the seller? im guessing not as you had to ask... if its not the only way you will get baby ebjd from this pair is by breeding them then breeding one of the fry to the ebjd which is wrong really imo. Get another ebjd and another regular jd then you have 4 sets of genes then breed the fry then you will have your own strong strain. Btw ebjd x ebjd ive heard doesnt work out as the fry are very weak and most if not all die off, am i right on that one?

Thank you for the reply Justarn.. Yes you are right about the ebjd x ebjd breeding, They do not work. I had 4 ebjd in a 80 gallon tank together and they bred 2 times, Both times the fry did not make it more then a week or 2 before they died..

But that is how I know I have a female ebjd... But thank you very much for help..

Well I have a great new update to this Thread... First I would like to say thank you very much to all of you who helped me with this but the fish really helped confirm my questions..

I have been gone on vacation for 2 weeks and came home to find about a 100 little wiggler swimming around the tank.. So now I have a new question, should I leave them in the tank with the parents or get them out? it is just the 2 parents in the tank and its a 125 gal. tank..

Im just not sure if jacks will eat the babies or not.. Please help me...
