The fish do appear to be Cichlasoma but Ryan is right, identifying juveniles to a particular species is nearly impossible. If you could count the anal fin spines on your fish you'd be able to at least narrow it down to six of the 12 known species (6 species have 3 spines in the anal fin and 6 have 4, sometimes 5.) Allow them to grow for a few months and once they begin to develop their adult colors it will be easier to tell which species you have.
