Please, help me: what's it? ST? CT or VT???

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I agree with 2 CT 2 IT. The unclean bars on the smaller 2 and fact that I don't see the bars wrap around at all tell me they're probably indo.

No one's touched this one yet....

for reference the first bar is the one that that is on the gill plate from left to right

two big ones, CT :
middle bar tapers to point, middle and third bar are parallel with each other and at an angle, third bar has no bumps its same size throughout and lastly its typical of pulchers to have a thinner first bar, necklace...

two small ones, IT:
thick necklace bar, middle bar doesn't taper to point, doesn't have angle nor is parallel with third bar, the third bar is bumpy.
Oddball ITs

this is just from my experience, observations

Does it really matter what they are

To much stigma around tigers

All people are concerned about is if it's ST or not

If you put a stunning looking 3 bar IT next to a rubbish looking ST people would STILL take the ST
We should buy tigers for what they look like and there health not for what they are

If you like them and the price is right buy them
If the price is to high and you won't be able to pay your rent or buy food next month don't buy them and walk away

If it was me I wouldn't pay ST money for ANY tiger with IT tail stripes even if the whole forum confirmed it was ST but that's just me

Thanks all bros! So, there's no exact answer, they aren't ST, let's call them are the controversial tiger.

To be fair no one can say 100% if it's CT VT or ST just by looking at a tiger

Yes you can have a good stab in the dark at it but unless you have had the fish from small and imported it yourself then you wouldn't know where it was hooked

VT CT and ST are so much alike in regards to body shape stripes and colour no one can be 100%

Slight differences in stripes colour and body shape vary in ALLfish

All good points.I think the indos are obvious and my remark wasn't really referring to them...as for which kind of pulchers they are T1 is spot on and as he's said, there are ST's with less than perfect tail markings....At this point I like the designations A,B and C grade wide bars as they are described on the Stones Aquarium website....A grades have awesome tail markings and so forth.

That 2nd biggest is gorgeous whatever the technical name is. Thinner bars like a CT, he's got insane gold like any ST along with great pulcher personality
