Yeah I would have a talk with the manager. To be honest she probably heard you perfectly loud and clear in the interview but I bet they're short staffed(most fast food places usually are) so I bet they figure they'll just slip one by you. And if they say it's 42 hours or no job then tell them to get bent.
 
I worked the 42 hours for this week. She scheduled me for 47 hours this week. I told her I could work a max of 30, preferably 20, and she said she would cut my hours down. As some of you guessed, they are very short staffed. Atleast now I know that I will have no problem getting hours during the summer...
