I have read several poor reviews about the fishneedit T5 fixtures.

that was an odd looking website; not much information on it, and I guess they sell their own lights (not name brands)? the overall appearance and the external ballasts also seemed odd, had kind of a DIY look to 'em . . .

if it were me, I'd probably stick with the established brands, but if I knew more (anything) about these guys, I might consider it

Hello there!
Can anybody please check out my thread called "Plants are dying"? they are in the same section, same page!!

I have the same problem, almost!

I read on another website that a possible cause of sword plants "melting" is a potassium defficiency . . . I dose with potassium already, 2-3x week, so I don't know if this would fix your problem, but I do know that my swords don't melt

hope that helps

my hood just broke so it looks like I'm gonna need some new lighting anyways.... the top of the tank only fits and 18 in light. this thing tall more then anything. so i need to find and 18 in light that will be suitable for growing healthy plants for the best value. If anyone can point me again in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.
