I think he will be okay.

I would bump the temp up 1-2 degrees. I would also continue using melafix, but nothing stronger. You can also add aquarium salt to help if he has any labored breathing.

yeah i would add some salt to the water and do daily water changes to keep the conditions pristine, if he is still acting mostly normal then he should be fine just keep everything clean and warm with some salt and hopefully he will heal nicely without any scars
