PLEASE HELP SOMETHING WRONG WITH MY FEMALE RAY

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
put kosher salt(3lbs per 100 gallons) in the tank and boost the temp to 85f (dissolve the salt into water before adding as it will screw with the discs)

nothing the tip probly got bit and the tip will turn white and fall off the ray will be fine

I wouldn't worry about it yet, but would keep an eye on it. would use melafix though, it helps with bacterial infections. my undestanding is that freshwater rays don't like salt.

thats wrong, salt in correct doses can act as a cure for many things and less invasive method too. (compared to using meds)

Please read some of the other threads , salt is very important item that every freshwater ray owner should have.

Keeping in mind salt doesnt evapourate, so needs to be dosed correctly with corresponding water changes.

So yes add some salt for now, and just keep an eye on it.
Dont stress yet.

wait on it, dont worry , i think its just a small bite but keep and eye on it if the white grows go with the kosher salt deal will be best
