yesterday i was feeding my fry in my kitchen and all of a sudden the center bracing fell into my 250g due to bowing.
now my question is do you think it is safe to re silicon the bracing in and refill the tank, or do i need to find new homes for its occupants while completely resealing the tank?

I guess it's how it was connected in the first place. I have a 168 gallon glass tank that had it's center brace come loose. Luckily it was held be screws so I just had to go to a hardware store to replace the the broken screws. If you have an plexi tank, maybe you can go get some adhesive for plexi that would work. I know that the adhesive for plexi is very strong. Hope this helps, The Doctor.

im worried about the stress the rest of the tank endured and if the silicon is still worthy of sporting 1.25 tons

did your brace break while it was full?

Idk I bought it like this. The guy didnt tell me.

I would drain the tank re brace it will a beefier brace or two.

i put the center brace in and im just wondering about the silicon on the rest of the tank if you all think its still worthy of the load after that kind of flex
