  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Test fill it out side and look for air pockets in silicon seems. If there is Alot I would reseal it.

problem is is the fish in half full tank with half the normal filtration

Well there is no way getting around it. To fig out if it is going to hold ur going to have to take the fish out. And how did u fix the brace right if you kept the fish in it and water.

how old was this tank? was it purchased new or used?

seems to me this sounds like a manufacturer defect.

center braces aren't supposed to just collapse and break like that.

I would try and contact the tank manufacturer.

sorry to hear.

you will need to drain completely to get the tank into an 'unbowed' position and then rebrace and reseal if necessary.

its all glass and the tank is only half full the brace is on the top... im filling it tomorrow ill keep you all posted

Because your tank is made from glass and is big, you need to definitely find someway to brace your tank. Make sure the brace is big and strong enough. If your tank was plexi, it wouldn't be that much of a concern but glass is not made to flex. I remember having a 100 gallon glass tank. I was keeping a 12 inch koi in it for about a week while my friend was re-arranging his pond. One night I was walking by the tank, the koi slapped its tail against the glass, the center brace broke and then the tank shattered. Not much fun cleaning up water and glass at 2am. Koi was saved.
