  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
yeah give her sometime i have had rays go almost 2 weeks before when i first got them

not a bad looking retic.... go for worms that should help a lot more nutrition than ghost shrimp...

Not a bad ray. I think she paid a bit too much though. Around here they go for $40. Id love to have a girl that would buy me a ray! That is an even better find! Mine did buy me my armatus so I cant complain too much.

Nice buy! You live nearby me, I know how much these guys cost around the midwest, and thats a nice price for such a nice ray.

Definitely a reticulated ray, the long tail and pattern are dead giveaways. I would just try feeding it any type of worms or call and ask the pet store exactly what they fed it to get a better idea, but it looks healthy (especially since those are like action shots of it swimming up the side which is usually a good sign of good health).

try ghost shrimp...... not very nutritious but the rays r hunters and they love chacing things that r alive.... trust me.... put about 50 in your tank....turn off the lights.... by the morning you'll have a fat ray... they run about 30 cents each but well worth it!!! TRUST ME!!! Live Ghost shrimp were the first things i got all my ray to eat.... won't hurt to try it.

if your going to go this way and not with live earth worms put the shrimp in another tank and put alot of pellets in the tank to gut load them..... this way the ray gets some nutrition

Never thought about that...... I guess that could work... if he has another tank

live earth worms work just as good.... and have more nutrition

Ive got 4 of these little guys and it took them all between 3 and 12 days to start eating. Earth worms and ghost shrimp are the only things mine will eat, everything else they just spit out. I've had them for about 8 months now and they are all growing well and are nice and fat.
