Ive got a problem ive got 3 hermans in a 40x18x18 cage and a Leopard in a 60x30x30 cage (inches) and my mom has got very angry with all my fish and herps and says that i might have to get rid of either the Hermans or leopard unless i can mix them. I know about all the differences and pathogens but the owner of one of my LRS has been mixing Hermans, Leopards and Red footeds together for years. I would try and feed them correctly and keep it clean. Im thinking of trying them together for the weekend and monitering them, Please help.

I think the size difference might be a problem bro... Arent leopards the 3rd biggest after sulcatas and Galaps/Aldabras? And arent hermanns only like 8 inches or so?

Burmese Brown Tortoise are considered as the fourth largest in the world I believe and the second largest mainland tortoise after the African Spurred.

Either way, you have a tortoise that have a potential to get up to 2'. Think you got a problem with two different cages? Try the sheer size of a Leopard in 5-10 years. So I think your mom won't be too happy later down the road if you're unable to find a place of your own once you go to post-secondary or an adult.

I don't like the idea of mixing 2 species of herps. Your mom is complainging about all your fish and herps but yet you are getting a new viv?
She doesn't mind about the viv as ive gotten rid of fish in the place of the viv.

She doesn't mind them when there big as it can live in our summer house,.

Well if your mum ain't that bad about it now, I'd leave it, however, if you want to try it, try it.
