i called these guys with some tort questions,Shellys critters and things, they keep and breed all the torts, the ad is in reptiles mag.The guy was very kind so please show respect since you are not buying from him if you call, but hed rather you do whats right. The number is 922270587,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,tlrouhotas@aol.com................good luck.we aren't hibernating them,webo;1317830; said:I think they are best separate. How similar are the conditions they need, food etc? Still think with the size issue I'd keep them separate. I keep and breed red foots so disagree that they can be kept with hermanns and so on as at your LRS. If you are providing the needs for the hermanns you are providing the worst conditions for a red foot. I know you aren't looking at red foots at all. Just making the point about conflicting needs for different tortoises. Food and food availability is another consideration. Even if they eat the same sort of things, putting enough in there for both sorts may encourage over eating by the smaller ones.
Another thought, why aren't your hermanns hibernating? You could wind them down, put them in the fridge for however long they need. Then hopefully your mum will have forgotten about the space issue when they come back out! Might buy some time!![]()
