Please HELP with FILTER (With Video)

i would also like to add, im gonna have a bad sleep tonight, worrying if the filter gonna leak.... i literally used all my strength to put the lines into the tubes...lock em good...tried to pull em out, couldnt do it.... and i touched my output connecter, and it was SLIGHTLY wet... but no water dripping....that got me a bit paranoid...

Hope it doesnt leak...I DID NOT TOUCH the lid with all the motor and parts in it, I DID NOT TOUCH that part... im not suppoesd to right? In my filter box theres, some sought of very very very small rubber circular thing..is this an EXTRA PART? Because i did not TOUCH the lid which holds the motor and stuff...

its been running for almost 2 hours now, and all seems well, so im gonna turn my lights of now and pray nothing happens while i sleep :p (Should i masking tape the connections)? hehehe!
 
There shouldn't be any extra parts. Post a pic of the extra part.

If it's small, round, and solid, it might be one of the rubber feet for the bottom of the filter canister body.
 
it shouldnt leak. when i clean my cans i check that everything is tight and clean the motor out and everything to get maximum flow rate but imho i dont think it will leak if you put it together right. be careful tightening it with all your strength as it could strip something then you would be sunk. so just get it tight, but not too tight.
 
thank you! and yeah the part is a solid SMALL round part...just layin in the box..it looks like its pushed into something...
 
Check the bottom of the canister body and see if you are missing a rubber foot/pad.
