if it is the sand causing the cloudiness it will just go away on its own. Same thing happened to me a while ago.

I did the same thing with my 220 when I first set it up. I used, essentially, pea sized gravel from a landscape supply. I washed it but not well enough and the cloud lasted for a long time. Good news was it did go away over the next few weeks and my fish were fine. It's hard not to rush when your excited over a new setup. Good luck, I'm sure it will clear.
