So my flowerhorn pumpkin a male white eye fader has lost his kok almost completely. He is a great eater and very aggressive fish. He never lost any aggression nor does he eat any less if anything he eats more.
One day I noticed his KOK grew dramatically I mean like an inch or two and stayed like that for a week or two. Then suddenly bam it went away kind of like it deflated. Nothing has changed in terms of water quality, food or anything. I checked for hole in head or anything for 3 weeks but nothing has made his kok bigger. He is the same exact fish minus the hump. Is this normal I've never came across a fish that just lost it without an illness or stress. Pumpkin is doing very well other than the kok situation. Can it be the midas/red devil in him that caused it to shrink? His color and everything is just like my red devils orange.
Anyone have any insight on my problem?
Went from this..
TO THIS.......
His color looks dull he was sleeping when I took the picture I turned on the tank light.
His hump is gone..its smooth
