Please ID and info before I Impulse buy... smh

Saw this sweet pleco. About 11" or so. Guy in store said it was gibbiceps pleco but it looks too awesome....

What is it? How big? And is it about to die? Also will it bother my stingrays.

don't think its a gibby, but becareful they like to suck on stingrays!

looks like a common pleco to me, although plecs are not my thing.

Ehhh screw it. No go.... can't get better pics because it wouldn't move. It looked like a tank tho and had many raised areas over its body with almost a cammo brown pattern.

It's a Rhino pleco (See my avatar for a more colorful one). The average max size is around 12-14 inches... however there has been some on here that have gotten them up to 16inches.

As with any pleco... there is some risk of sucking on other fish. The trick is too keep them well fed.

For me, I'd take the pleco over the rays but for you, I'd say pass on this one(since you didn't raise it...you don't know how it will behave).

Ahhhh thanks. Yea it looks good. I like the structure but for 90bucks, its a gamble I don't wanna take. Thanks again

Thanks. Since he said it was a gibbiceps and I knew it wasn't thought I mighta found something miraculous as I have before when fish get mislabled.
