They are often bunched in as sailfin. Sailfin is a term much like common pleco, or bristlenose. There are several species that are within this common name.

thats why I sold my last few. My royal was fine with my rays but was eating y 100$ driftwood lol I like plecos but i guess they dont work in my tank
The royal was a hefty 8". Traded with a user here on MFK and then it was picking on his giraffe nose cat. So I think he ended up selling it too.
large plecos eat a lot, mine loves zuchinni, sailfin about 14", creates a lot of waste, biggest crapping machine in my 150g, can be very aggressive chasing other fish. I would suggest a pleco that does not grow larger than 8", bristlenose, candystripe, gold nugget
if you are putting a pleco whith rays
than i would say you don't like rays that much
if you did like rays than you would know that onle one pleco (L-95) can be with rays

I'm not very knowledgable about plecos. I have had several different kinds some which got along other that haven't. The end result is massive amount of poop so screw plecos in my setup.....
