Please ID my puffer!

The crays breed reasonably quickly though the warmer months, but unless you have a large tank to keep them you can't expect them to breed enough to be a staple for a puffer with large appetite...

As for snails, if you want something thats easy to breed, and does so regularly, i would recommend Ramshorn snails myself...

Hope that helps some what...

^ Yeah, some one on here once mentioned that hes guessing that Female fahaka's might be the only ones to bare a molted pattern, where as the males have the solid colors... now i can't confirm this, but i know for a fact mine is a female, and she has a molted pattern...

How do you sex a fahaka puffer? I had the one in my avitar but have no idea if it was male or female.

I only discovered mine was a female after she laid eggs... the only other way i've heard is to do an autopsy once the fish passes on...

I would probably guess that if within about 2 years or so your fahaka doesn't have a false pregnancy at least once, probably a good chance its a male? now i can't base this off anything, but from what i've seen online, it seems a lot of peoples females tend to drop eggs at least once within the first two years of the person acquiring them...

I think mine still too young to lay eggs or to know if its male or female. Yeah i dont have big enough tank for the cray fishes i only have a 8 G tall for guppies and snails. Thank for the advise i proly gonna just keep him since he is so amazing.
