Please ID this cichlid

Lol, that is an easy one. Melanochromis Chipokae . They're one of the more aggressive africans. $7.50 is a good deal for the size of it

One, you all need to calm down. No one is bashing anyone. Clown he just said you were correct. I wish people would read carefully and stop thinking there is more to it. Two, The fish is a chipokae. If you are saying that a chipokae and auratus look a lot a like then you are in for a world of confusion. There are hundreds of cichlids in lake Malawi and some look so similar that makes these look nothing a like. It take a lot of time to learn to tell them all a part.

But male Auratus and Chipokae DO look similar to the untrained eye is all, that's why I used them for my comparison. I'm not arguing this isn't a Chipokae or anything, I fully agree.

Great comments guys. Due to the aggressive nature of this fish I am not going to purchase any. I must admit it is very beautiful and the price was excellent.
