You know Breidorhi never really crossed my mind. When I think Breidorhi I think of Aquamojo's. But you know there is a general shortage of good pictures of Breidorhi out their, exspecially young ones. Although I would love for him to be a breidorhi I am not so sure about that either.... well to be honest I am not to sure on any of them. I see a trait and think of one but then see another trait that disclaims it.

When I first got this guy he was a pain in the but to catch. I decided to name him Houdini, looks like he is really lving up to the name :D

Not a Breidohri for sure. If I had to take a quess I would say Bifi.

You to??? Man I really dont think its a bifa. But God knows I have been wrong befor. Shoot after all this looking around I have been doing over the past few weeks I think for sure I am going to be hanging onto this guy. I would hate to not see what he turnes into.

I don't think its a bifa either. Not sure enough to post a guess. Any chance it could be a hybrid?

Not regani, and not bifasciatus - my guess goes with guttulatus. And, for those of you who say "it looks exactly like mine" - is it possible that BOTH fish are misidentified, but are in fact the "something else" ?
A bifasciatus would definitely have more sign of color coming in, around the face / neck, and the fins.
Regani are quite different. I don't know what breidohri look like, really, so couldn't say.

No, mine is not. I ordered them from Gage at Cichlid Connection, so if I am wrong, so is he. Here is a picture of mine.

That is a beautiful fish - and it's quite clear they are not the same.
I'm sticking with guttulatus - I have had one, so that's something I had to go by. But it's a gem, whatever it is!

I would certainly not mind if it was guttulates. Regani was not one of the Vieja/Paratheraps I wanted to keep. This fish really is a gem. I notice new coloration almost daily. I dont think that this fish is a hybrid, but I would certainly venture to guess that is could be a variant from a collection point that we as hobbyist are not familiar with. Can anyone post pictures of their fish who have said that "it looks like mine?" Weather it be bifa or whatever! I am dying to see if I can spot some similarities.

I know this is old, but this fish looks 100% guttalantus, the older fish books always have pictures of guttas just like this one. On the other hand this pic is my gutta. I think it looks nothing like bifa at all.
