if you have enuff space for an RTC then this alligator gar shouldn't be much of a problem
considering the white line on its snout its still really small
and watch out these guys try and eat anything big or small it really doesn't matter to them

Awesome, just wanted to double check.

Well these guys are pricey in Aus and I realy wanted a Spotted gar due to the size issues but couldnt wait for one so I got this guy. Will probably only be able to keep him for a year or so before I get a spotted as atm only got 220gal.

ok...so what are you going to do with your RTC then? and what do you plan on doing with the gator after a year? Actions like this don't give us aquarist the best reputation.

dude thats cruel u dont buy a fish and plan 2 dump it after a year n a rtc needs 350g minimum ppl like u need 2 give up this hobby...

Let's not be hasty...this site is full of folks who don't keep fish for life. He may have a plan in place for the RTC (and gator) when they outgrow the tank.

you do realize that gators average out at around 5'. and they reach 24" in the first year.
