Moved it to it's own tak now. At the store every thing was picking on it. I got it home, and it was picking on every thing! Will try to get better pix. Really hate my camera!:irked:

Going to start by saying 'hate my camera' again. Anyway, here's more pix, did some black and white so you can see markings better. Hope these help ID it. It's about 4".:DTIA.:)IMAG0059.JPG

If this is a Midas/Firemouth mix that I've got, there's no way I can keep it! It needs a huge tak, which I don't have. My largest are 55gl's. Think I will end up taking it back. It was sold to me as a JD mix of a sort. (I've already knick named named it Tyson!)

Going to go with the marbled midas label, and it's not faded, I just have bad camera. It's really a pretty black with dark and medium orange marbled markings. ***When it was at the store, there was a horizontal sort-of speckled line down both sides of it's body. Haven't seen it show up since I got it home. But as I said, it was getting picked on by all others in that tank. Was in with JD's that were smaller than him, and a few same size Fire mouth. No matter where he swam, they were relentless on nipping and jaw locking. I gotta stop getting these fish, just because I feel sorry for them! :screwy:

i say devil looking at the lips in the original photos... and the long snout

Thanks every one for the ID's and opinions/advice. Either way, it's going to get huge and need a bigger tank than I can provide. Just wish I could give it to someone, instead of taking it back to the store. PetSmart will probably put it some where in the back room 'til I leave, and then flush it! This really isn't good at all!
