Jee scotty, we sure missed you. :grinno:

OP asked for an ID of the orange fish, which Sin properly identified.
In no way does throwing in your two cents (fake pennies?) for something no one asked for make you superior to anyone.

I have to say I've never met someone who was ever so wrong at something so subjective as identifying fish species from a photograph and yet so confident and even proud of his mistakes as well as egotistical and full of himself.

You seem to brag about the most irrelevant goings on about your part of the hobby at every chance you get, which is bothersome - I'll never get back the two seconds it took to read your CRAP, and you mislead and mis-advise people. How's that any different from any other random guy on a site? You do it that much more often. Like a know-at-all newb with too many books and not enough experience, only you're not a newb therefore you should know better. But you don't.
I had hoped some sense might have sunk in since last you hypocritically pointed your dirty finger at anyone else who might have been so bold as to make "whacko" judgments, but no, here you are, condescending like you never boasted cramming 60 wild-caught mbuna into a 30 gallon tank, terribly misidentified someone's fish or made yourself looks like an ass before.

I guess anyone with any common sense, courtesy or proper knowledge and advice should leave the rift lake boards now, since you're here to "take care" of everyone. :shakehead

For a start I don't believe I am an expert at all as I am prepaired to learn all the time. :screwy:
You Yanks:confused: :screwy: should stop giving the fish all the crap names:screwy: you do and start calling them by their true scientific ones. What the hell is a "cherry red?" :screwy: . The name Kennii is no longer used.
I never disputed Sinisters call on the fish, the only accurate naming up till then. Not everything with a stripe is called a "Zebra"  .
I do believe I will be stopping using this site:irked: as it is you Wanks that make it rather unpleasant with all the crap you guys write.
GOOD RIDDANCE TO BAD RUBBISH!!!:screwy: :screwy: :screwy:

I am not sure why you are so upset. If a lot of people on here are using the common names, wouldn't that mean that people are still using the name...

Also how can you get upset when you name call and put people down. I do not believe you have any reason to complain and threaten to leave for someone calling you on our own.

I am pretty sure that the common name on the blue fish and most likely the orange fish is a type of zebra. By telling this to that person they will be able to narrow their search... I was sure that the blue was a type of Zebra since I am breeding a small group of them... I am sorry that were so offended by my attempt to help someone.

I am sure that you will get over this upsetting event and we will see you around again...

Did you ever care before this got dug back up?
Common names have their faults. But scientific ones aren't without theirs.
If everyone could get the scientific names of their fish at purchase, correctly, we wouldn't need people like you would now would we? Who would you have to insult with childish namecalling while giving your "real so-called expert"'s opinion then?
WTF does it matter if "kenii" (Kenyi, I'm sure you meant :shakehead ) "isn't used anymore"? Last I looked the chain stores and LFS's around town were still using it so apparently they didn't get the news.
Why get so anal? What's wrong with calling a zebra complex mbuna a "zebra"? People will learn that not all fish with stripes are zebras. Not all blue fish are cobalts. Not all yellow fish with black edges are yellow labs. Good for them.
I really hope that at the very least you learn some f****** manners before you decide to throw in your two cents on this or ANY board. As of now all I have ever seen from you is rudeness and hypocricy.
You could and should apply some of what you preach to yourself. Good riddance to bad rubbish.
I sure as hell won't miss you.

You have 2 Metriclima Estherae..........looks to be a blue male and orange female. That is actually how they breed in the lake. I have a wild pair, and it is so cool if lineage is right the babies come out black (blue, males) and orange (females)
One of my orange females is holding now. The dad is a blue male. I got to watch them court, it was just crazy. The fry are getting so big in her mouth, that you can see their little heads and eyes when she shuffles them around in there. I feel like she has to let them go any day now.
