Yes I did, I am from LOU. and you are.-- I had bought around 8 scombs from them that did not last but a month or 2 at the most and then i went in one day an seen these guys so I bought just one not knowing it was a redtail and now they have not gotten anymore in so he is lonely at the moment. I call every week just to check but no luck yet. Here is an up date I had it in the feeder tank for while and now it is in the main tank. It has been in the main for around 3 weeks and I have seen it eat 2 times. Which is better than before. here is a update pic.

tats are bad asses i have 2 scombs and never lost one. Note: ive never in my whole life lost any payaras thank god. i think the trick is to have extra filteration and a greater current. keep temp at 83 and and rocks so they can rest when not fighting the current. add food 1's a day and thats how i roll.

thats exactly what i did. :D

good looking tat!
at least hes out and about.
mine would rarely eat feeders and hid behind the powerhead for about a month before starting to eat more aggressively.
you'll love his attitude once hes more used to you and the tank.

actually ive never had a problem with scombs they need a exceptional current extra extra air and very soft water very soft. like i mean super soft. thats what ive been doing and my scombs have been with me for over a year now and topping 7in.

I sure would like to see your scomb and your set-up man. A 1 year old scomb maybe a record. But 7'' at a year is alittle small. But then again who know cause they usually never get past the 2week mark.

Not much payara action lately so here is a update and some pics. i had alittle scare a few weeks ago when my tat was losing a tooth and it took him about a day and a half to get it out. But all is well now.
