Hey great thread Troutking. I just checked and all of my "norinos" have the line all the way through the tail. LOL

Extassi, did you get them?
it only works 99% of the time u still have to factor in headshape etc...there are a few orinos on here that have the line through its tail but its not that common

It been about 10 days now that I got them and being in my tank, they are looking more and more like Intermedia. I'm going to load some pictures to see if I could get some comfirmations.

I'm getting confused by keep looking at them trying to figure out what kind of cochla it is. I called the owner asking about the origin of these cichla and he told me its wild caught cichla from Puerto Inirida - Rio Orinoco. Could someone tell me exactly what kind of Cichla come from that area? Its hard to get a good picture of them right now because they are in my 220 and very camera shy at the moment. Thanks.

Most likely Not Intermedia they look Orino and one that i have now looks like these when he was small....And was said to have been collected upperrio Orinoco....

Thanks Fish Junkie, I guess they are orino cichla after all. I was hoping they are Intermedia, but Orino is pretty cool also. I got them for really cheap so I'm happy with them. Thanks everyone for your help. I may stop by down to that fish store to pick up some more.
