please id this pleco

he was probably around 3 inches. i have 2 of them an one is growing slower than the other, i am hoping this is a sigh of male/female

Looks like L137, Cochliodon/Hypotomus sp. also known as candy stripe pleco

Planetcatfish gives it a name of Hypotomus soniae

But there are no stripes on the Violet Bruno. How's it considered a "candy striped" pleco if it just has white/blue eyes and red fins? The pic I posted is of a candy striped pleco.

my bad for the wrong common name. it should be a blue eyes red fin there. thanks for pointing out.

btw Gatorxxx420, the pic that you've shown looked to me more like a Peckoltia compta, leopard frog pleco, L134
