I don't think it is a golden due to the dark horizontal line on them

yup golden dorado.. my lfs has three of those guys. interesting fish.

those are not dorado, no salminus, not at all, but they mimic them to blend in to avoid predation or is it the other way around. those are a brycon sp. probably byrcon whitei

they're the pacu of the salminus sp., the vegetarians, kind of

^ Agreed, plus a quick google search shows that Brycon Hilarii is a possibility as well.
