I think it can be a temensis, xingu, or azul at this size. Not intermedia. Sorry if I disappointed you.

Strange enough he lightns up during feeding and when he is very stressed out ex. I turn of the light and turn them on he turns all black and some light blotches that of intermedia are presented but soon disapear to this state as he calms down. Either way i will keep him for refrence and cause i cant return him but no matter.

Your best bet is to buy the "Pickleberi" or the "wood burned Cichla" ...those are the rarest to my knowledge
