Yeah, I spent most of my life in Montana and Vermont, I move to Arkansas thinking that at least I wont be cold... the only difference is that no one can drive on ice and more than half of my co workers have taken six snow days already, leaving me to do their work for 'em. To top it off, after a little over a year 45F feels like -5F used to*shakes tiny fist*

It's 35 mph gusts with -5 tonight, I wish I lived were 45 was considered cold.
but, I'd have to give up otters in the pond in my back yard playing on the ice and tormenting all the snapping turtles. The moose, deer and all the other critters.

yeah.. there is a reason I dont plan on leaving FL, ever! =]

I feel your pain Liz... upstate NY...

That's the thing, I used to walk two miles to work everyday in Burlington and then get plowed after work and walk down by the lake, didn't mind the weather much. Heck, I remember staying out skiing all day with a -65 windchill. I move to a slightly warmer place, and inside a year my body just can't appreciate it, I feel just as cold as the locals. All those extra capilaries that allow us northern types to function up there go away quickly.
....I wish there was otters in my backyard.

Burlington is damn cold and that wind howls across Lake Champlain, took the Ferry across a couple weeks ago, to cold to get out of the truck then to visit in Clinton Cnty NY it was even worse. Couldn't wait to get back down to NH. I figure that's the trade off freezing weather with wild critters and fresh air - Vrs smoggy air, tons of people, very few wild animals but nice weather.

killa cali is the place to be

Love to visit, go every year, can not wait to leave after a few weeks, houses way too close as well as too many cars and people.
