Very nice tank setup...very natural...well i never even dare to put in my small wolf fish tank...how you make your video slow mo? check my fish out too search under "zeroneox" :D
 
Just wonder if my this 2 wolf fish is the same type mala. cos 1 head is round and the other one is pointed.

hmm might not be try and get a shot of under its mouth

Good pic though i wish ERY ERY got teeth like that or if malas were active like ERY ERY

it does matters , lacerdae are the second largest species of the hoplias , it grows bigger then malas

both look like malas to me.
maybe different variants like you said.
the head shape does differ in variants.
