I have one that is currently 5-5.5" and he shares a divided 135 with a 7" RTM and a 7" Trimac. Hes small enough that he swims freely between the divider and avoids aggression most of the time and not big enough to pose a threat to the Tri or RTM. Eventually he'll be alone in a 75.

I need that butti to lose, he needs to learn his lesson. I am waiting for my dovii to grow, he will show the butti who's boss...hopefully
Mines about 8inch and has been playing nice up until yesterday, he's in a 180 g community. He's started harrassing everything that's smaller. Hopeing the boss, my 11inch male. Barred midas, can keep him in check... I think if. He becomes top dog I'm gonna have problems!!! He's scared of my 8inch odoe pike though, he uses his teeth to pop a few scales of when attacked lol!
That is just the start, I wish you luck because once the butti starts it will end everything.
I have one in a 155 by himself. He kills Plecos,Red Devils,Dovii,Jaguars, and he even killed some Red Bellies. Thats how I got him. He killed everything in my friends tank,and he is a serious digger.
Well my rd beat my midas up yesterday so I moved the rd to another tank! The midas has come out from hiding, that leaves the butti second in command! I think if I can keep. A more dominant fish with him he'll be good... Maybe!-) here's a pic of mine about 7inch. Has anyone else noticed there's two distinct head shapes, smooth like the one above and a kink above the nose like mine? Could be gendre difference?
