This is about Hikari food. Some of you have probably heard me talking about this in other threads but i m going to start a thread about it. Okay, Hikari food is baaad it has MSG in it which i m allergic to and if i eat MSG i cough uncontrollably for a while (not that i'd eat fish food) and even some people who aren't allergic to it react to it in different ways. So even if u have been feeding Hikari for awhile with no ill effects, i'd stop now.:(

but hikari is very good for my fish. if it has msg will it effect my fish at all? hikari cichlid gold pellets seem to bring out my fish's color, even though it does that should i stop feeding them that?

how do you know msg will affect the fish negatively, scientific research maybe. i guess if your hungry, maybe you should eat something other than fish food. i think the company that makes the hikari food probably spent alot of money to figure out if it messes with fish. so im guessing your argument holds no water, and is nonsense. i am in no way affiliated with hikari, and i dont even feed my fish that stuff. i just had to say that this sounds like nonsense, unless you have something to back it up besides your personal feelings
sorry for the harsh words

If u want to risk your fishes health fine by me.

My wife is allergic to seafood. I better put my fish on a vegetarian diet!
