I think you should give the Aro to grow a bit. Oscars are quite robust at that size while Aros are still pretty small comparatively speaking at that size. Wait for the 8" makr and the Oscars should be fine.

NOT AT THAT SIZE!!! Wait 'till it grows.
Yup....oscars will probably kill your aro...they are usually agressive and territorial......at this size...I'd say no wait till your aro is about 10-12 inches;)

Thanks everyone for replying. I have found oscars just about 3-4" not 5-6" while my aro is 6". So according to my aro's size they r quite small. I think i can keep them with my aro. What u guys think now?

personally....I would wait till your arowana is larger....it might become skiddish....shy and also get nipped and picled on...oscars are usually fierce.....

I think you taking an unecessary chance with the aro. But what the heck if it gets killed by the Os you can always get another, right?

:iagree: I would wait...oscars are sloppy eaters and will make the water quality go down unless you do more water changes and have great filtration. Also......oscars are plentiful in numbers oppose to an arowana which silvers are practically like black arowanas...getting over fished and getting closer and closer to being an endangered species......you can always get an oscar.....aro's I think deserve a little more respect. ;)

But when my aro become larger then can i put those small 3-4" oscars with him? Won't my aro eat those small oscars? And the other thing i forget to mention my aro is not a shy type of aro. When i feed him prawn & live feeders he pick them very fast & he killed my another aro. What's your opinion now?

Still the same....personally. arowana body wieght is different for length than oscars....oscars get large fast.......I would wait till your aro gets to about 8 inches before tossing in some little oscars.......time will come when you can get the combo you want but I highly stress patience.

everyone did tell you to remove the other aro
but you didn't heed
and now you again ask for advice:screwy:

an 8-10" silver will not be able to eat a 4-5" oscar, not a chance.
so wait till the silver grows a little more.
anyways what you do from here on is your wish either listen or do what you wish.
all the best to you and your fish

I wouldn't take the chance of risking it. I think everyone covered all the reasons why, water quality, stress, and every Oscar I have had liked to nip fins. Give it a month or two then you'll be just fine.
